Housing rules and conditions

Registration: Only the exact number of people declared in the reservation may stay. If additional guests are required, an extra fee may apply. The guest acknowledges and agrees that their stay will only be for the days stipulated in the reservation and that they cannot convert the accommodation into their residence.

Check-in and Check-out: The check-in and check-out times have been established on the booking channel and the guest must vacate the accommodation before the stated check-out time. After that time, the host has the right to charge an extra fee according to the established rates.

Noise: The guest must always maintain respectful and considerate behavior towards other guests and neighbors.

Children: Guests accompanied by minors must supervise them at all times and never leave them unattended. The guest will be responsible throughout the stay for any accident that the minor may suffer inside the accommodation. In case of staying with minors who are not their children, the main guest must provide the required information.

Cleaning service: For stays longer than 7 days, we offer an optional weekly cleaning service for an additional fee. This includes a deep cleaning, and can also include personal shopping or laundry services upon request.

Connectivity: We have a high speed internet connection that will allow you to perform all your activities without interruptions, whether working, attending virtual meetings or just relaxing watching your favorite content. The password will be sent to you when you confirm your reservation and will also be visible in our property.

Vehicle: If you need a temporary or permanent parking space for your vehicle (day or night), it is mandatory to notify the identity of the vehicle at the time of booking.

No Smoking, No Illegal Substances, and No Weapons: Smoking is strictly prohibited in the accommodation. There is a significant room recovery fee for guests who do not comply, to cover the cost of restoring the room to a smoke-free condition. It is also prohibited to have any type of weapon or illegal substance.

Garbage: It is forbidden to throw glass or plastic bottles down the garbage chute. This must be deposited in the trash place, properly covered, in a plastic bag to be collected by the person in charge of miscellaneous trades.

Inspections: The accommodation manager has the right to enter the property with prior notice to the guest, for the purpose of inspection or to perform tasks such as repairs and general maintenance.

Appliances: We have equipped the property with new appliances so that you can enjoy your stay to the fullest. Please use them with care and inform us immediately if you notice any anomaly or damage. If it is a serious damage, please also report it on your reservation platform.

Damages: The guest agrees to leave the accommodation in good condition and will be responsible for any missing or broken items. They are also responsible for the actions of all other guests in their reservation. Any damage caused by guests to objects, furniture, or other property will be their sole responsibility, and they must cover the cost of repair or replacement. If keys are provided and the guest loses them, a replacement fee will be charged. Additionally, if the guest realizes they have forgotten an item after checking out, a service fee and shipping costs will be charged to return it by mail.

Plants: Our plants are living beings, please treat them with care. If you stay more than one (1) week, we would appreciate it if you could give them some water. I’m sure they will appreciate it very much!

Pets: The host reserves the right to accept or not accept pets. An additional fee may be charged for stays with pets. When you’re bringing a pet you agree to this terms:
The program is intended for domesticated dogs and cats up to 10 kg. weight, and must be trained.
A maximum of one pet is allowed per apartment and it must be leashed while outside the apartment. (For example, in the common areas of the building).
When the room is cleaned or any other service is provided within it, the pet must be removed from it.
Guests must dispose of their pet waste.

The guest is responsible for any noises that pets may make. We are confident that it will prevent your pet from making too much noise and engaging in harmful or aggressive behavior towards other people. If your pet is considered dangerous, harmful or disruptive, the apartment owner will have the right to ask you to find other accommodation. Likewise, the apartment reserves the right to contact the police to remove your pet.

If your room requires extra cleaning service or if damage has occurred as a result of your pet’s behavior, we will charge you for additional services and repairs through the platform on which you made your reservation.

Guests with pets must sign this document assuming responsibility for any damage caused by their pets.
Guests confirm that the pet has civil liability insurance, for the amount determined by regulation, within a period of one month from its identification.

Liability Waiver and Indemnification: Personal belongings of any value should never be left unattended. The host disclaims all responsibility for the loss or theft of jewelry, money, documents, or other valuables. Every time guests leave the accommodation, they must close the windows, lock all doors, and keep their belongings safe and secure.
Neither the host nor the property owner or any of their representatives shall be liable for any injury, loss, illness, or damage to any guest or guest’s belongings.
Neither the host nor the property owner nor any of their representatives shall be liable for any inconvenience or issue the guest may suffer while occupying the property due to the actions of neighbors or unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to interruption of water, gas, electricity, or internet services.

Warning Against Sexual Abuse: We fully reject and prohibit the sexual exploitation of minors in our accommodation. By accepting these terms, it is made clear that the guest is prohibited from engaging in any conduct related to the sexual exploitation of minors, and we will report to authorities any suspicion or evidence we identify.

Cancellation Policy: Plans change, and we get it! That’s why every Mauria booking comes with hassle-free cancellation up to seven days before check-in, giving you the freedom to adjust your trip without losing a peso.

Your Personal Data
As a valued guest of Mauria Local House, we will ask you for your personal information and that of your companions at the time of check-in. This is a measure required by the National Government, in compliance with Decrees 2590 of 2009 and 1074 of 2015, as well as building regulations.
Your data will be stored under a strict Personal Data Protection policy, in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012. We want to assure you that no commercial or for-profit use will be made of this information; it will be stored for security purposes only.

The data required by law, which you will find detailed in the confirmation of your check-in, are: Full name, Address, Telephone, Email, Nationality and Official Identification. It is essential to have this information correctly in order to allow access to the property.
